A little about me

It took me over a decade to get back here and I'm glad I did.

Luki Jewels didn't start in 2026. It started with a younger version of me who loved making things with her hands - the kind of work where you blast music, get completely lost, and suddenly it's 2am and you don't care. Back then it was called Quaintsical - quaintly whimsical - and it was exactly that. Playful, experimental, joyful. I set up market booths, sold pieces to strangers, and felt something I still can't quite describe when I'd spot someone wearing something I made. How many people get to say that?

Then life happened. The materials stayed - I could never bring myself to let them go - but the making stopped.

Fast forward to today: I work in tech, where everything is fast, urgent, and loud. During a spring clean, I found a box of beads I hadn't touched in years, and the memories came flooding back. I needed something that was the opposite of my day job. Something slow. Something intentional. Something made one bead at a time.

That's Luki Jewels. A revival, but more considered this time - focused on Miyuki delica beadwork, natural pearls and gold fill findings. Each piece designed to be worn, noticed, and quietly wondered about. Luki is my middle name. I chose it because it felt personal, and a little mysterious. Like the jewellery itself - there's more to it than first meets the eye.
